Local Truck Driving Position (HOME DAILY)
About The Position
This is a local truck driving position where drivers can expect to be home daily. The role involves picking up and delivering from various grocery distribution centers (DCs) in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky, with a primary focus on Ohio. Drivers typically handle 3-5 loads per day, averaging 5-7 stops and covering 200-300 miles daily. The average weekly earnings are around $1,500, with top earners making $1,800+ per week. Additional pay is provided for stops, unloading, backhauls, and pallet restacking. The work involves 70% drop and hook and 30% unloading using electric pallet jacks.
Requirements
- 3 Months CDL A Experience
- Able to pass the hair follicle drug test
- Clean MVR
- No SAP
- Weekend and holiday availability required
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver from various grocery DCs in the region (IN, OH and KY), mainly OH.
- Average 3 – 5 loads per day.
- Average 5 – 7 stops per day.
- Cover 200 – 300 miles a day.
- Perform 70% drop and hook.
- Perform 30% unloaded from trailer into back room of stores using electric pallet jacks.
