Responsible for delivering customer-ordered material from a plant/warehouse location to the appropriate destination. The driver may be responsible for collecting material from designated vendors and suppliers and returning material to plant/warehouse location. Required to follow all company and federal safety regulations.
Requirements
- Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read work order instructions, safety, and policy manuals).
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Basic computer skills.
- Proficient in basic math skills and problem-solving skills.
- Solid communication skills.
- Ability to follow and give instructions.
- Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Ability to work closely with others in a team environment.
- Work authorization: United States (Required)
Responsibilities
- Responsible for checking, securing, and protecting steel loads.
- Delivers orders to customers using Coilplus tractor-trailer flatbed equipment.
- Obtains proper signatures on delivery paperwork and/or handheld device.
- Maintain a clean work environment by keeping work area free of trash and scrap.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
