About The Position

CHS in Luverne is looking for a Part Time Truck Driver to join our team. This individual is responsible for hauling feed and feed ingredients to our customers in a timely manner. We are looking for someone with availability to work 2-3 days/week on average from 7am-5pm. The schedule may flex as needed. The ideal candidate would possess a Class A CDL and be able to operate manual vehicles.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL (as required for the equipment/route)
• Have a minimum of 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience
• Must meet age requirement
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately

• Ability to operate independently in a high‑skill driving role, including managing complex routes or delivery requirements
• Demonstrated safe-driving performance and ability to make sound safety decisions in changing weather and road conditions
• Strong customer service skills and a history of positive customer feedback
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Operate a semi‑tractor and trailer and or straight truck to deliver products to customers in the area in a safe and timely manner.
• Load and unload product as required, including connecting and disconnecting trailers for product transfer, and follow safety protocols for handling products
• Prepare and complete delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports; record accurate electronic logs.
• Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries and maintain positive customer interactions
• Drive in accordance with DOT regulations, company policies, and compliance requirements
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, and report maintenance, safety, or equipment concerns promptly. Perform interior maintenance and upkeep as needed.
• Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and equipment issues; follow required
• Provide informal guidance and support to fellow drivers as needed regarding routes, equipment operation, and safety practices
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager. Additional maintenance, cleaning, and operational tasks as needed
