About The Position

This position is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products to various locations. The Truck Driver will also manage vehicle maintenance, adhere to company policies, and contribute to a positive work environment. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to operate various machinery, and a solid understanding of arithmetic functions. The driver will also be responsible for maintaining a clean work area and ensuring all company standards are met.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate machines including, but not limited to bar code reader, computer terminal, other electronic devices, and forklift.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and the capacity to learn new systems.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills and effective organizational skills.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships.
  • Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast paced environment that requires strong team work.
  • Understanding of all tools, gages, equipment, and other various instruments used to perform position.
  • Basic ability to understand blue prints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.
  • Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
  • Clean driving record and current DOT card.
  • Must pass DMV check.
  • Minimum of 2 years prior truck driving experience.

Responsibilities

  • Insure safe delivery of all products to various locations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to various locations.
  • Sweep truck box and wipe vehicle interior weekly.
  • Manage maintenance log and insure proper vehicle maintenance.
  • No tobacco use allowed in company vehicle.
  • No texting or other distracted driving allowed.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Report immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality.
  • Maintain full working knowledge of all processes.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to all company standards and policies.
  • Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
