About The Position
The Truck Driver position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a tractor-trailer or bobtail truck to deliver sheets or finished products to customers and in accordance with state laws.
Requirements
- CDL Required
- Two years experience as a Truck Driver
- Two years experience as a Forklift Operator
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer or bobtail truck to deliver sheets or finished products to customers.
- Load/unload or assist in loading/unloading finished product in or from trailer.
- Inspect load in trailer to ensure it is properly loaded and it is the correct load before leaving.
- Verify count while truck is being unloaded, as allowed by customers.
- Transport load by required route to proper destination while observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Obtain shipping bill of lading and necessary signatures and return completed paperwork to shipping office.
- Complete daily time card, driver logs, and all other work reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Report any maintenance items to supervision immediately.
- Be proactive in the maintenance of the truck and trailers.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
