About The Position

TCC Materials is a leading manufacturer of architectural and concrete specialty products, including concrete masonry block, concrete repair products, precast, architectural stone, mortars and grout, and hardscape landscaping products. The company is a family-owned business with almost 100 years of industry experience, offering competitive pay and a great benefits package. This Truck Driver position is responsible for delivering and picking up products in a timely and efficient manner, and also for working in the yard when not making deliveries.

Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • One to two years related experience delivering in the construction supply business
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written
  • Read, write and speak English
  • Must be able to understand packing lists and delivery tickets
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Valid Department of Transportation Certified Commercial Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass Federal Department of Transportation drug screen and physical
  • Valid D.O.T. Health Registration Card
  • Maintain driving record in accordance with Federal and State Motor Carrier Regulations, and meet company policy requirements
  • Must be certified to operate a forklift and skid loader

Responsibilities

  • Complete deliveries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Focus on performing deliveries and pickups in a safe manner
  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Follow all procedures to completely secure loads before leaving on a delivery
  • Perform and record daily equipment inspections as required by D.O.T. standards for pre-trip and post trip
  • Solve customer problems and complaints in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Involve management when needed (for customer problems/complaints)
  • Work closely with all TCC Materials Sales personnel to facilitate a timely and accurate customer order-fulfillment process
  • Assist with unloading/loading trucks when needed
  • Check in incoming stock off the purchase order
  • Assist with keeping the yard clean, safe, and organized
  • Ensure that all orders are paid for before leaving the yard
  • Complete all other assigned tasks given by management
