About The Position

The Driver under general supervision, transports tankers and dry vans locally between vendors and our Richland facility. The driver is responsible for loading and unloading tankers. A successful applicant will be responsible for working safely and efficiently as possible following all safety and quality guidelines for our food manufacturing plant.

Requirements

• Valid CDL (Class A) with current tanker endorsement.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Current medical card and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening.
• Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Comfortable with climbing ladders and working at heights.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred with 1 year of tanker experience.
• 2 years driving of CMV and 1 year tanker experience

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies
• Collect and deliver raw potato starch slurry from potato processing facilities in truck/tanker in Oregon and Washington.
• Safe loading and unloading of slurry.
• Adhere to all CDL requirements and statutes.
• Adhere to all roadway laws and regulations.
• Testing of product for baume/ph & fiber test.
• Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate driver logs and delivery documentation
• Fuel equipment, as needed.
• Perform scheduled monthly training by due date.
• Perform monthly cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
• Ability to drive in all types of weather.
