Truck Driver - Miami International Airport (MIACG1)
About The Position
The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, equipment, and materials within the airport premises. This role involves operating various types of trucks, including cargo trucks and delivery vans, to transport items to and from different airport locations. You will load and unload cargo, ensure that items are secured properly for transport, and follow established delivery schedules. Additionally, this position requires conducting routine vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues, and adhering to safety regulations and traffic rules. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and secure transportation of essential items for airport operations.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
- Must hold a valid driver's license.
- Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial truck driving
- Knowledge of safety regulations and cargo securing procedures
- Physical stamina for loading and unloading cargo
- Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
- Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).
Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of trucks and vehicles used in airport operations

- Adhere to all traffic and airport safety regulations
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Transport goods, equipment, and personnel as required
- Maintain accurate logs of travel and cargo
- Coordinate with airport staff for loading and unloading
- Respond to dispatch instructions for transport tasks
- Ensure timely delivery of cargo
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle
- Comply with airport security procedures
- Navigate through different areas of the airport
- Report any incidents or safety concerns
- Participate in safety briefings and training
- Assist in emergency situations if required
- Adapt to varying work schedules

- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
