About The Position

This position is responsible for driving a Salvation Army truck along a scheduled route to pick-up donations and/or deliver merchandise to customers. The driver operates the vehicle in compliance with established standards and reports truck maintenance needs to the maintenance supervisor. The role involves conferring with the dispatcher to maintain awareness of scheduled trips, organizing routes to save time and fuel, and assisting the Truck Helper in lifting and stacking donations. The driver also prepares donation receipts for customers and maintains good relationships with donors, promoting a favorable image of The Salvation Army.

Requirements

One year experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Valid State Drivers License

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required
