About The Position

Rexel USA is seeking a Truck Driver/Warehouse Associate to join their team in Bossier City, LA. The role involves delivering products to customers, company branches, and suppliers using a delivery van or box truck (no CDL required). Responsibilities include ensuring deliveries are prepared efficiently, materials are correct and undamaged, and maintaining company vehicles. The position may also involve other warehouse duties and potentially training entry-level drivers for senior roles.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
• Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years.
• Must not have any at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• Ability to handle loads with a combined weight not to exceed 26,000 GVW.
• Ability to handle basic issues and problems.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and familiarity with traffic and driver laws.
• Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• In lieu of experience, must attend company driver training.

Responsibilities

• Inspect company vehicle for visual and operating defects and complete a daily inspection report.
• Keep company vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained, alerting supervisors to any needed repairs or service.
• Follow Department of Transportation (DOT), local, and state driving laws and regulations.
• Load or unload vehicle, ensuring all material for each order is correct (quantity and type) and free of damage before departure.
• Assist in preparing orders for delivery.
• Ensure all appropriate documentation is thoroughly completed at the time of delivery, including customer signature on delivery receipt, packing list, and branch/warehouse manifest.
• Pick up material returns from customers, inspecting condition, verifying quantities, and catalog numbers.
• Pick up material from company suppliers.
• Senior Truck Drivers will participate in the training of entry-level Truck Drivers, providing mentorship and coaching.
• May be required to perform other job functions within a branch, including counter sales, preparing and filling orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material, and maintaining branch equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
