About The Position

The Truck Driver (Residential Lead) will be responsible for driving tandem and single axle dump trucks or water trucks in a levee setting. As necessary, the driver will also perform the duties of a Laborer, maintain a safe work area, and communicate and work with Project Support staff, including QCM, SSHO, Superintendent, and Site Coordinator. The role also involves communicating and professionally representing the Employer with government representatives and the public. This position is a DOT Covered/Safety-Sensitive Role and requires a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC).

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • 2+ years of demonstratable experience on residential lead remediation projects for USEPA or USACE.
  • 2+ years of demonstratable experience working on Hazardous Waste Sites USEPA or USACE.
  • Completed the OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER.
  • Has a current 8-hour Annual HAZWOPER Refresher.
  • Completed a 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety Course.
  • Has a current CDL.
  • Experience of operating dump trucks and/or water trucks in tight areas constrained by structures, underground and over-head utilities, retaining walls, other vehicles parked along streets, etc.
  • Experience driving through residential and urban areas.
  • Experience of pulling equipment trailers.
  • Experience operating water-trucks for watering residential properties after the installation of sod.
  • Ability to complete and file paperwork in an organized and legible form.
  • Must provide a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC).
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required (if applicable to the contract).
  • Must be able to obtain access to military installations (if applicable).

Nice To Haves

  • CDL with a tanker endorsement is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive tandem and single axle dump trucks or water trucks in a levee setting.
  • Perform the duties of a Laborer as necessary.
  • Maintain a safe work area.
  • Communicate and work with Project Support staff (QCM, SSHO, Superintendent, Site Coordinator).
  • Communicate and professionally represent the Employer with government representatives and the public.
  • Manually clean truck beds.
  • Pull hoses to water lawns (as a water-driver).

Benefits

  • $36.84 per hour + fringe $15.85
  • $26.00 per hour Shop Rate
