About The Position

Ryder is hiring a NON CDL Truck Driver in Tunkhannock, PA — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. The schedule is Monday – Friday, with a start time of 7:00 AM, and no weekends. Ryder provides paid training on all necessary equipment. Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer, with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling support. Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck): 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Nice To Haves

• Experience with pallet jacks, lift gates, and hand trucks.

Responsibilities

• Safely driving a vehicle within a 120-mile radius of Indianapolis IN.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards.
• Maintaining accurate records.
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
• Other tasks as assigned.
