Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of 9 months of verifiable driving experience
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Must have verifiable driving experience in like equipment: 9 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
  • Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email communication
  • Ability to lift, bend, pull, push, and set up vehicles and equipment (up to 50 lbs)
  • Willingness to work in a drug-free environment, maintain a uniform, and work flexible hours
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to changing work environments
  • Candidates who possess a valid Commercial Drivers License will be subject to FMCSA requirements, including but not limited to, pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and drive BSBF mobile vans (up to 32 feet) across multi-state regions, including navigating event locations and managing crowds
  • Set up the mobile van at designated locations, including preparing dental equipment, cleaning, restocking, and ordering program supplies
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for dental partners, event coordinators, volunteers, and the public, addressing program-related questions and directing inquiries to appropriate representatives
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair of the mobile van units, ensuring all required documentation, such as registration forms and maintenance logs, is up to date
  • Use email, phone, and basic computer systems to manage scheduling, review event details, and report outcomes
  • Collaborate with third-party agencies for van maintenance, storage, and event management
  • Ensure safety at events, including overseeing the safe entry and exit of the mobile van unit and managing the registration area
  • Promote safe work practices while handling products on and off company vehicles
  • Operate vehicles in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as Ryder’s guidelines
  • Maintain all necessary DOT and vehicle logs and ensure compliance with company documentation requirements
