About The Position

Ryder is hiring a NON CDL Truck Driver in Kent, WA — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Drivers Average $1120 Weekly. This position offers weekly pay, with an hourly rate of $28.00 per hour for 40+ hours per week. Hotel & Meals are provided for overnights. The schedule is Monday – Friday with some weekends, starting at 7:00 AM. This role involves SOLO delivery to local areas, OR, WA, and ID, with both Day and Night runs available. The equipment used is a 26' Straight Truck with a Pallet Jack, Lift Gate, Stair Crawlers, and a Tablet. The freight handled is touch freight, specifically Copy Machines. Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance, and company drivers fuel up at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide. Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck): 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
• Candidates who possess a valid Commercial Drivers License will be subject to FMCSA requirements, including but not limited to, pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query.

Responsibilities

• Safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
