About The Position

Truck Driver performs various routine manual duties which include receiving, inspecting, storing, rotating, safekeeping, issuing, preparing and repairing of furniture as it relates to the furniture management office besides driving a truck 1 ½ to 4 tons inclusive. Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record. The individual needs to be well versed in customer service.

  • 2 years of relevant driving experience desired.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write and understand English proficiently.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
  • Must be able to obtain a base pass for the military bases.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate professionally and effectively with staff, and customers.
  • Manually loads and unloads furniture to and from designated inventory areas.
  • Manually loads and unloads furniture for delivery and pick-up, on and off base.
  • Reads orders or receives and listens to oral instructions to determine work assignment.
  • Cleans furniture for staging and stages finished furniture for loading.
  • Simple furniture repairs.
  • Operates forklift
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in required skills and knowledge training.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
