Truck Driver - Local Class A - Penske Logistics
About The Position
Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers. Earn $27.32 per hour with overtime after 40 hours. This is a local position, meaning you'll be home daily. You will drive late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks with best-in-class specs designed for comfort and equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras to ensure safety. The role involves low touch freight, where you will move pallets to the rear of the trailer for dedicated local Arizona deliveries. You will maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers. The schedule includes dispatch times between 2:00 AM and 4:00 AM from Wednesday through Saturday, and a Monday night shift with a 6:00 PM dispatch.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required.
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years.
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
- Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
- English language proficiency is required.
- Work the required schedule.
- Work at the specific location required.
- Complete Penske employment application.
- Submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history).
- Submit to a drug screening.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
- Ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
Responsibilities
- Drive late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks.
- Move pallets to the rear of the trailer (low touch freight).
- Perform dedicated local Arizona deliveries.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers.
- Legally operate a motor vehicle.
- Safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle and the rear cargo area.
