Truck Driver - Local Class A Hiring Event 5/27 - Penske Logistics
About The Position
Penske Logistics is hiring CDL Class A Truck Drivers for a local route delivering aluminum products. This position offers assigned trucks, no-touch freight, and a 5.5-day work week with flexible start times and 4-5 layovers per week. Drivers will be responsible for securing and unsecuring loads, but not tarping. Penske provides late-model, well-equipped trucks and trailers designed for driver comfort and safety, including features like built-in fridges, APUs, and in-cab cameras. The company emphasizes safety, customer service, and career growth with extensive training opportunities and a stable, nationwide presence.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required.
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years.
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
- Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
- Complete Penske employment application.
- Submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history).
- Pass a drug screening.
- Ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Freightliner and Volvo trucks.
- Experience with Conestoga trailers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver aluminum products to customers.

- Enter and exit the vehicle and rear cargo area frequently.
