Truck Driver - Local Class A - Penske Logistics
About The Position
Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers. This role involves performing multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships. Drivers will unload trailers using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages, and use a scanner to record product information. The average annual earnings are $72,696, with weekends off and the ability to be home daily. The schedule typically involves 11:45 pm dispatch times over a 5-day work week, averaging 40 to 45 hours per week. Drivers will operate late model, Penske-maintained trucks with advanced safety features.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- English language proficiency required
- Must be able to work the required schedule and at the specific location
- Must complete Penske employment application
- Must submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history)
- Must submit to a drug screening
- Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others
Responsibilities
- Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
- Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
- Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
- Complete approximately 40 stops per week
