Truck Driver - Local Class A Floater - $10K Retention Bonus - Penske Logistics
About The Position
Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers. Earn $35 per hour plus overtime after 40 hours. $10000 retention bonus. Home daily. Driver referral bonus program up to $5000 per referral. This role involves working at various dedicated accounts and shifts locally as needed, performing multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships. You will unload trailers using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages, and use a scanner to record products as they are unloaded and delivered. Dispatch times will vary depending on the work assignment, but you will be home daily. You will drive late model, Penske-maintained trucks with best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety, equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras to ensure safety.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- English language proficiency required (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
- Ability to work the required schedule, at the specific location required
- Complete Penske employment application
- Submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner as this position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive
- Ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others
