About The Position
Baldwin Paving Company is seeking CDL Drivers to join our paving team in a full-time, local role. Drivers are home every night and only travel within a 75-mile radius of Atlanta. This is a safety-sensitive position operating in active roadway construction environments.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Class B CDL with Tanker (N) endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience required
- Must meet FMCSA Clearinghouse requirements. We require all applicants to have a clean record in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
- Must meet company Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) standards and FMCSA safety requirements
- Must be able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screening and comply with FMCSA random drug and alcohol testing requirements.
- Must consent to FMCSA Safety Performance History review with previous DOT-regulated employers
- Strong safety and attendance record

- Tack truck experience preferred (training available for qualified candidates)
Responsibilities
- Operate tack truck safely in roadway construction environments
- Apply asphalt tack/emulsion using spray equipment
- Load, transport, and unload heated materials (up to approximately 300°F)
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues
- Support paving crew operations as needed
- Follow all DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and company safety procedures
