About The Position

PADNOS is a full-service recycling company handling paper, plastic, metals, and electronic recycling for consumer and industrial clients throughout the United States. The Truck Driver I is responsible for driving company trucks, including Van Trailers, Highsides, Switch Trucks, Box Trucks, Bulk Tankers, or Tow Trucks, and switching trailers or containers at customer locations. The driver may also perform other assignments as directed by Dispatch and is expected to actively demonstrate the company’s values. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The role involves customer service, load and vehicle inspections, shipping documentation, reporting, and maintaining the truck. Drivers must be willing to work outdoors and lift up to 75 pounds while chaining.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Required CDL Class A license with no manual transmission restriction (E restriction).
Clear driving record.
Proven customer service skills.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds while chaining.
Legible handwriting and strong mathematical skills.
Ability to work independently and be detail-oriented.
Ability to maintain logbooks.
Willingness to work in an outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

Service customer locations and maintain good customer relations.
Provide outstanding customer service as a company representative.
Prepare shipping documents for all loads, weigh loads, and perform initial material inspections.
Maintain paperwork for scale tickets, shippers, logbooks, and trip reports.
Complete and submit necessary reports, including accident damage and traffic violation reports.
Perform daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections and submit daily vehicle inspection reports.
Submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required.
Inspect loads and tarp or secure them when necessary.
Maintain the inside of the truck.
Enter vendor codes and trip reports.
Switch trailers or containers at customer account locations.
Perform other driving assignments and duties as directed by Dispatch or as necessary.
