Truck Driver - Class A - Penske Logistics
About The Position
Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers. Average $77000 annually with a $2000 annual safety bonus. Layovers are required. You will drive late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks with best-in-class specs designed for comfort, equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras helping to ensure safety for all. You will relay trailers from Lockport, IL to Lincoln, NE, averaging 2 layovers per week. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers. The schedule includes a 4-day work week with a 5pm start time and Saturdays off. Penske is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- English language proficiency
- Complete Penske employment application
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required
- Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others
Responsibilities
- Relay trailers from Lockport, IL to Lincoln, NE
- Average 2 layovers per week
- Maintain professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers
- Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
- Submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening
- Legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area
