Truck Driver (CDL Class B)
About The Position
Boston Globe Media is looking to hire CDL Class B Drivers to join our Distribution Team. This position involves delivery within greater New England and is available for the 3rd shift, including weekends and holidays. The role includes a 2-month training period, with the schedule to be discussed during the interview. The operation runs seven days a week, with overnight shifts that include weekends and holidays. The hourly rate for this position starts at $32.72. This is a union position covered by a collective bargaining agreement with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
Requirements
- Valid DOT Medical Certificate (must be presented in interview)
- RMV Driving Record (must be presented in interview)
- Class B CDL
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Background check
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Physically able to get in and out of the truck throughout shift at delivery locations
Nice To Haves
- Able to operate pallet jack and forklift a plus. We will train for certification.
