Truck Driver - CDL Class A - Penske Logistics
About The Position
Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers. Average $100000 annually. $5000 retention bonus. Up to $3000 annually for strong safety performance. Driver referral bonus program up to $5000 per referral. You will drive Late model, Freightliner and Volvo trucks, Penske Truck Leasing trucks with best-in-class specs designed for comfort. Equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras, helping to ensure safety for all. Routes have multi-stop deliveries where drivers are responsible for unloading tires from their trailers. Drivers are responsible for counting the exact number of tires being delivered to each customer. 4 layovers required per week.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- English language proficiency
- The associate must be able to see and hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
- The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle
Responsibilities
- Unloading tires from their trailers
- Counting the exact number of tires being delivered to each customer
- Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
- Safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
