Truck Driver - Hiring Event 10/28 - CDL Class A - Penske Logistics
About The Position
Penske Logistics is hiring CDL Class A Truck Drivers for an exciting opportunity. Drivers will operate late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks with best-in-class specs designed for comfort and equipped with in-cab cameras for safety. The role involves delivering and unloading palletized products to major retail pharmacy locations throughout NYC, the Hamptons, and North Jersey. Drivers will safely handle freight using pallet jacks and liftgate-equipped equipment, provide professional customer service with a focus on safety and efficiency, and perform touch freight deliveries. City driving experience is required.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required.
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years.
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
- Ability to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required.
- Ability to complete Penske employment application.
- Ability to submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner as this position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive.
- Ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
- City driving experience required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and unload palletized products to major retail pharmacy locations throughout all five boroughs of NYC, the Hamptons, and North Jersey.
- Safely handle freight using pallet jacks and liftgate-equipped equipment.
- Provide professional customer service while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
- Perform touch freight deliveries as part of the delivery process at each stop.
- Operate late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks.
- Ensure safety for all using in-cab cameras.
