About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Newnan, GA — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. This position offers a $1700 weekly average pay, with a weekly guarantee of $1657.94. Drivers will be paid weekly and can earn $0.67 per mile with an average of 1600 miles per week, plus $16.25 per stop with up to 30 stops per week. Additionally, there is a $50.00 per diem pay for 4 nights per week and touch freight pay of $0.15 per piece with 2000 pieces per week. A $3000 sign-on bonus and a $1000 annual tenure bonus are also offered. Paid training is provided. Over the road and high touch freight experience is required. The schedule allows drivers to be home for weekends, with a start time that varies based on Hours of Service. This is a regional route with an assigned sleeper unit tractor and a 53' dry van trailer, hauling touch freight such as tires, rubber, and various commodities. Ryder drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer, with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations. Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
• Over the road and high touch freight experience required
• Must be able to fly to locations you will cover

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
