Truck Driver - CDL Class A - Penske Logistics
About The Position
Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers. Average $105,000 annually, with top earners potentially earning up to $120,000 annually. This role features assigned trucks, no-touch freight, and a $7,500 Retention Bonus. Drivers will operate late model Freightliner and Volvo trucks, Penske Truck Leasing trucks, with best-in-class specs designed for comfort. Trailers will be 48 to 53-foot Conestoga trailers. Trucks are equipped with a built-in fridge, APU, and inverters, as well as inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras for safety. The driver will be delivering aluminum products to customers and will be responsible for securing and unsecuring loads, with no tarping required. The schedule includes a 5.5-day work week with flexible start times and 4 to 5 layovers per week. Penske is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required.
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years.
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
- English language proficiency required.
- Must be able to see and hear.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
- Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
Responsibilities
- Deliver aluminum products to customers.
- Secure and unsecure loads.
- Operate late model Freightliner and Volvo trucks.
- Operate 48 to 53-foot Conestoga trailers.
- Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
- Work the required schedule and at the specific location required.
- Complete Penske employment application.
- Submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
