About The Position

New CDL Graduate Start your Career with Ryder's Driver Development Program. We have a Class A Driver opening in Princeton, IN for Recent New CDL Graduates that have received their CDL License. We want the right driver to join us at Ryder. We have developed proficiency-based training with experienced facilitators. Drivers will receive 8 weeks of training focusing on all backing, close quarter maneuvers, practice doing short and longer runs and get paid while doing so. Gain hands-on experience from the finest instructors in the industry. Ryder Employees who Drive on this account earn $1050 or more Weekly. Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly. Deliver SOLO To: OH, TN, IN,MO, KY. Route: Local Home Daily. Tractor Type: Day Cab. Trailer Type: Dry Van 53’. Freight: No Touch – Auto Parts. Company Paid Scale Bypass. Requirements

  • 9 months or less of CDL driving experience
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder background and a Motor Vehicle Registration check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
  • Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) regarding the checking in and out of freight
  • Perform other duties as assigned
