About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Middletown, OH — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. This position offers a weekly average pay of $1900 - $2200+. Drivers will be paid weekly. Solo miles pay is $0.62 per mile with an estimated 2000 - 3000 miles per week. Solo stops pay is $50.00 per stop with 8 to 10 stops per week. Per diem pay is $45.00 per night with up to 3 nights per week. Additional pay includes $35 detention pay and $37.00 drop/hook at wash pay, with an estimated 5 per week. Endorsements required are Hazmat & Tanker, and candidates must have Tanker experience and Hazmat at the time of interview. The tractor type is a Sleeper with a Manual Transmission. A sign-on bonus of $3000 is offered ($1500 at 30 days, $1500 at 90 days). A safety bonus of $4500 is also available ($1500 at 3 months, $1500 at 6 months, and $1500 at 9 months). Paid training is provided. The schedule is Monday – Friday with rotating Sunday dispatch 2 times per month. The start time is between 3:00 AM - 6:00 AM. This is a regional route with 2 - 3 layovers per week, delivering SOLO to OH, MI, IN, PA, WV, MS, AL, GA, IL, TN, AR, SC, NC, KY. The trailer type is a Liquid Tanker Trailer. Drivers cannot have an automatic restriction. The freight is No Touch, though the driver will connect hoses and pressurize the trailer with assistance. Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
  • Hazmat & Tanker REQUIRED; Must have Tanker experience and Hazmat at time of interview.
  • Cannot accept automatic restriction

Responsibilities
