About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Cedar Falls, Iowa, for solo regional routes serving the Midwest and Southwest. Drivers earn $29 per hour, with an additional $1 per hour for every three endorsements, and are paid weekly. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle checks, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide the appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Be able to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Be able to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
• Have load-securement experience, including strapping, tarping, and chaining.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load and unload freight, or assist with loading and unloading when required by the customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
