About The Position

Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver. Ryder is looking for the right Trucker to join them in Tonawanda, NY. They are offering assistance for Owner Operators looking to switch to Company Driver. The position offers a weekly paycheck of $1508 or more, with pay based on solo miles ($0.55 per Mile with 1500 Miles per Week) and solo stops ($13.66 per Stop with 50 Stops per Week). Additionally, there is an Alro Tenure Bonus of $300 paid four times a year. Paid training is provided. The schedule is Monday – Friday with no weekends, starting at 6:00 AM. This is a local, home daily route delivering SOLO to Main Route Elmira, NY, with potential support for Western New York, Northern Pennsylvania, and possibly Canada later. The tractor type is a Day Cab and automatic restrictions are acceptable. The trailer type is a Flatbed 48', 53’. Ryder will train on necessary equipment. Freight involves load securement of steel and metal. A Passport or Enhanced License is preferred for endorsements. Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks (36 months or newer) with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations. Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
• Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
