About The Position

The Doe Run Company is seeking a Truck Driver Battery Breaker w/CDL to safely operate a tractor trailer to move product between Doe Run Company (DRC) locations, following Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations. This dayshift position is located at The Buick Resource Recycling Facility in Boss, MO. The Doe Run Company is a privately held natural resources company and a global provider of lead, copper, and zinc concentrates, dedicated to environmentally responsible mineral and metal production. Doe Run operates the Resource Recycling facility, one of the world’s largest, single-site lead recycling centers, located in Boss, Missouri. The company also owns six operating mines in one of the world’s largest lead mining districts, also in Missouri. Doe Run has operations in Missouri, Washington, and Arizona.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year experience as a truck driver.
  • Valid, current driver’s license.
  • Valid, current Class A CDL license.
  • Safe driving record.
  • Ability to maintain safe driving record and Class A CDL license.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to apply and understand Department of Transportation rules and regulations.
  • Skilled operation of over-the-road truck in varying weather and road conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Transport product to multiple DRC locations (up to 100 miles) using an 18-wheel semi-tractor trailer and a 10 wheel dump truck.
  • Follow DOT rules and regulations to ensure safe passage of DRC equipment, materials, and people.
  • Make sure the work area and equipment are clean and in good working order.
  • Communicate daily work activity and transportation schedules with personnel at various locations.
  • Provide support for the receiving department and operators as needed.
  • Interact with DRC facility personnel and provide support for the loading process.
  • Ensure trailers and loads are road ready.
  • Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS (environmental, health, and safety) policies, procedures, and best practices; support and assist peers in working in a safe, compliant manner; report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
