Under the supervision of the shipping department supervisor, operate bulk truck loading facility to load cement in customers’ trucks and weigh incoming coal trucks. This role involves loading bulk trucks per instruction from the truck driver, weighing bulk trucks and processing weight tickets and bills of lading. The position also includes weighing incoming coal trucks if needed, obtaining mill analysis for customers from quality control when required, and transferring cement from main storage silo to loadouts. The Truck Bulk Loader will maintain the storage silo to full level and perform operational maintenance on equipment such as air compressors and dust collectors. Additionally, the role requires utilizing a computer and maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies and practices, performing daily housekeeping, workplace inspections, and proper use of plant radios. Familiarity with MSHA safety rules, plant mobile equipment safety procedures, lockout/tagout policy, confined space permit policy, hot work policy, emergency response plan, arc flash/shock and burn protection, and proper containment and disposal processes for environmentally sensitive materials is essential. The position also emphasizes ensuring quality of work, participating in continuous improvement, observing and promoting best practices, good time management, and the ability to troubleshoot/analyze root cause failure. The Truck Bulk Loader will work where and when needed as directed by plant supervisory personnel to meet plant needs.
