About The Position

The Truck and Warehouse Associate is a key member of the Thrift Store team at New Life Center. This role involves assisting donors with their donations both in the store and on the truck, supporting the Warehouse and Logistics Manager with managing incoming and outgoing goods, and aiding other store staff as needed.   • Ability to safely climb a ladder and work at heights of up to 20 feet.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, hot or cold.
  • Ability to walk up and down flights of stairs multiple times during a work shift.
  • Adherence to professional boundaries, respectful workplace conduct, and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

  • Safe and efficient operation of New Life Center trucks for all driving duties.
  • Provide excellent customer service to donors, speaking clearly and respectfully, and practicing courtesy during pickups.
  • Assist the Warehouse and Logistics Manager with unloading donations and maintaining organization on the production floor.
  • Coordinate with the Warehouse and Logistics Manager and other departments for pickups outside of regular thrift store operations.
  • Interact with and provide feedback on program guests to enhance their job training program fulfillment.
  • Return donor voicemails and schedule donation pickup requests.
  • Help plan and maintain the organization and utilization of warehouse storage space for efficiency.
  • Work with store staff to plan rotation and restocking needs in the store, particularly in seasonal areas.
  • Assist with sorting, pricing, and stocking the sales floor.
  • Provide direction to volunteers assisting in the Thrift Store.
  • Assist the Warehouse and Logistics Manager in maintaining the recycling program and processing materials for recycling.
