About The Position
R.J. Corman has an opening for an Truck and Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic in Nicholasville, KY to perform general maintenance on equipment, service repairs, and DOT inspections. This role applies well-developed knowledge and skills of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic repair to a variety of on-rail and heavy equipment as well as over-the-road trucks. The mechanic will troubleshoot and diagnose complicated mechanical failures, perform preventive maintenance, general trailer repair, high rail inspections, and DOT inspections. Additionally, the role involves maintaining equipment cosmetics and cleanliness, practicing safe working habits, ensuring a safe working environment with proper PPE usage, assisting the storm team when required, and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3 years of mechanical experience with over-the-road trucks and/or heavy equipment or technical degree required.

Responsibilities

- Troubleshoots and diagnoses complicated mechanical failures.
