This is a Hooksett Day-Shift Troubleshooter position with a rotational shift from 6am to 6pm, following a 3-2-2-3 rotation. Troubleshooters generally work as a single-man crew, performing work on energized and de-energized lines and equipment at all voltage levels. Responsibilities include identifying and isolating faulty primary and secondary equipment, operating switching devices on overhead and URD systems, working with Field Electricians, clearing faulty and unsafe conditions, maintaining and restoring electrical service, and connecting/disconnecting portable transformers and generators for emergency restoration. The role also involves working with the Substation group, replacing failed transformers, repairing and re-energizing primary lines, performing street light installation and repair, installing and removing protective covers, conducting overhead and underground inspections, performing security and perimeter inspections of substations, making current and voltage measurements, directing the work of other Lineworkers, and applying operating procedures and safe operating practices. This is a union-represented position, requiring membership in the union upon hire.
