About The Position

This is a full-time Trimmer position at Plant 2 Upholstery Plant in Lenoir, NC. The role involves safely maneuvering furniture frames, attaching cardboard, padding, and upholstery material using various tools, and performing repairs. The Trimmer is responsible for maintaining a neat workstation, adhering to safety standards, and completing other duties as assigned by their supervisor.

Requirements

At least 2 years of hands on inside/outside Upholstery experience
Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook to Intermediate level
Effective communication & interpersonal skills required to build relationships across the business
Demonstrate use of upholstery tools
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills
Effective organizational, stress and time management skills
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently or as a team member
Ability to read work instructions

Responsibilities

Safely maneuver furniture frames on work platform
Tacks cardboard, padding and upholstery material to top, side, and bottom rails of outside arms, fitting and shaping materials to obtain specified contour using staple gun, staple puller, scissors, and regulator
Responsible for fixing their own repairs
Maintains neat and orderly workstation.
Follow all workplace safety standards
Performs other duties as required by supervisor.
