About The Position
Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking a Trimmer I to join their team in Snohomish, WA. This on-site role involves performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers. The job duties include climbing trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems, pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees, removing broken limbs, applying tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines, and properly maintaining and operating tools and equipment. The Trimmer I will also act as an active crew member, supporting the ground crew and foreperson. The company emphasizes that career growth depends on individual effort.
Requirements
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement
- Line clearance experience or other related tree work
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
- ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®
Responsibilities
- Climb Trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems
- Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers
- Prune treetops and repair damaged trees by trimming or removal
- Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
- Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines
- Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more
- Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreperson
