About The Position

The Trim Technician is responsible for performing warranty, service, and punch-list work related to interior doors, exterior doors, trim, and associated building products. This role works directly with homeowners, builders, and field teams to evaluate issues, perform repairs or adjustments, and ensure products meet quality standards and customer expectations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, customer-focused, and experienced with finish carpentry, door systems, and residential construction environments.

Requirements

  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools and basic power tools
  • Experience with trim installation, finish carpentry, or door installation
  • Experience performing warranty, punch-list, or service work in residential construction
  • Familiarity with interior and exterior door systems, trim, and millwork products
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • Construction, carpentry, or building materials experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform warranty repairs, adjustments, and service work on interior doors, exterior doors, trim, and related building products
  • Complete punch-list items on residential construction projects prior to homeowner occupancy
  • Diagnose product issues and determine appropriate repair or corrective action
  • Troubleshoot installation, operational, and cosmetic concerns to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Work directly with homeowners, builders, and field personnel to address service requests
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding repair scope, scheduling, and job completion
  • Coordinate with field managers and installation teams to resolve product and installation issues
  • Document completed work and communicate findings to internal teams
  • Inspect installed products to verify quality, functionality, and compliance with company standards
  • Identify installation deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure repairs and adjustments are completed accurately and efficiently
  • Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment required for service calls
  • Maintain service tools and equipment in good working condition
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
  • Report unsafe conditions or jobsite concerns promptly
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
