About The Position

The Trim Press Operator is responsible for safely operating production equipment and making decisions on the quality of the parts produced. This position involves repetitive work, lifting up to 15lbs, and the use of hand tools. Shift Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 10 hour weekly rotating shifts

Requirements

  • Completed Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong hand/ eye coordination.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must have access to your own vehicle/ reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Complete pre-start safety checks.
  • Maintain continuous operation of the production process.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork (i.e. pre-start safety checks, production sheets, bin tags, in-process sheets, sensor and error proofing check log).
  • Effectively communicate to the supervisor or the next operator at shift change, of any visual or dimensional defects.
  • Understand inspection procedures, make checks as necessary as per the control plan.
  • Use a hand tool where necessary to improve a finish on parts.
  • Ensure that all unacceptable parts be counted and disposed of into scrap bin.
