About The Position

The Tribal Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood, Home Visiting Home Visitor is responsible for providing support, guidance, and resources to families in the tribal community. The Tribal Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood, Home Visiting Home Visitor conducts regular home visits to establish rapport, assess needs, and delivers culturally responsive services, offers child development guidance, helps strengthen parenting skills, and facilitates access to community resources, and maintains accurate records and documentation, collaborates with program staff and partners, and actively contributes to the overall success of the Tribal Home Visiting Program.The position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, a deep understanding of tribal culture, and the ability to work effectively with diverse families.

Requirements

Possess a Valid California Driver License and be insurable with the Tule River Indian Health Center Inc. insurance agency throughout employment.
Must pass pre-employment drug & alcohol screen, pre-employment physical, and background.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of tribal communities, culture, and values.
Experience working with children and families in a home-based setting.
Familiarity with child development principles, early childhood education, and parenting practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse populations.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Respect for confidentiality and ethical standards.
Proficiency in basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Experience working with a home visiting or early childhood development program.
Knowledge of tribal communities, culture, and values, with experience working with tribal populations.

Ability to collect and analyze data to monitor program outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
Ability to adhere to program policies and procedures related to documentation and evaluation.
Ability to collaborate effectively with program staff, tribal leaders, and community partners.
Ability to actively participate in team meetings, share insights and knowledge and work collaboratively to provide holistic services to families.

Connect families with available resources and services within the tribal community.
Build relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and social service agencies.
Complete required documentation and data collection, including assessment forms and progress reports.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data collection policies and procedures.
Attend regular clinical supervision meetings to discuss families' progress and share insights.
Collaborate with other Tribal Home Visitors and program staff to provide holistic services.
