About The Position

This position involves standardized duties following well-established procedures, including recording case identification data and receiving documents on court records via hand, typewriter, or computer. Responsibilities include file stamping, assembling documents chronologically for case files, and scanning/imaging and indexing court documents. The role also involves assisting judges, attorneys, co-workers, and the public. Functions include managing receipts and disbursements of money, performing month-end reporting and balancing procedures, answering telephones, certifying documents, issuing marriage licenses, assisting with jury management, and performing other duties as required, with supervisor review for accuracy and completeness. The position also aids the Clerk of the court in office and employee supervision, assists with technology-related issues, hardware and software implementation, supervises and acts in the absence of the Clerk, and assists in employee training and cross-training.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school
  • One year of clerical experience
  • Ability to perform accurate computer data entry
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment

Responsibilities
