About The Position

Offit Kurman, an Am Law 200 firm, is seeking a senior commercial litigation attorney with substantial first-chair trial experience to join and help grow its Fort Lauderdale office. The successful candidate will handle complex business disputes in state and federal court, lead litigation matters through trial, and contribute to the continued growth of the firm’s California litigation practice. The role may be at the Litigation Associate or Counsel level.

Requirements

• Significant first-chair trial experience in commercial litigation.
• Demonstrated courtroom experience in state and/or federal courts.
• Strong motion practice and case management skills.
• Experience handling complex business disputes.
• Ability to independently manage matters from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first chair in commercial litigation matters, including trial.
• Handle complex business disputes in state and federal court.
• Lead hearings, dispositive motions, discovery strategy, and trial preparation.
• Manage high-exposure and heavily contested matters.
• Supervise and mentor associates.
• Contribute to the continued growth of the firm’s California litigation practice.
