About The Position

Eagle Physicians & Associates is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join their healthcare team at Eagle Internal Medicine @ Tannenbaum. Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a primary care, internal medicine, or ambulatory care setting.
  • Strong assessment, triage, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Triage incoming patients to determine the priority and severity of conditions.
  • Obtain patient health histories and vital signs and accurately document findings in patient charts.
  • Perform phlebotomy and in-house laboratory procedures and document results.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for adverse reactions and effectiveness.
  • Educate patients regarding illnesses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
  • Review and communicate laboratory and diagnostic results as directed by providers.
  • Ensure laboratory reports are available in patient charts and reviewed appropriately.
  • Obtain signed medical releases when indicated.
  • Schedule referrals and coordinate specialty appointments as needed.
  • Assist with home health coordination, pre-certifications, re-certifications, and insurance authorizations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain exam rooms, supplies, equipment, and overall clinic cleanliness.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment according to established procedures.
  • Safeguard medications, prescription materials, and patient records.
  • Dispose of infectious waste according to safety protocols.
  • Attend required staff meetings and participate in committees as requested.
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, respect, compassion, and advocacy in all interactions.
