About The Position
Zielies Tree Service Inc., a vegetation management services company, is seeking Tree Care Professionals to maintain powerline rights-of-way. The work supports the continued operation and restoration of power in local communities. The company emphasizes safety, quality, and environmental stewardship, and describes opportunities for continued growth for employees who work hard and meet performance expectations. The role involves cutting and trimming vegetation, felling and processing trees, applying herbicides as directed by maps, handling logs and brush, and maintaining a safe worksite. Employees inspect and care for tools, trucks, and other equipment and perform related work as assigned. The starting pay range is $30.33–$41.41 per hour. The position is full-time, with a schedule of four 10-hour days. Overtime may be available, and employees may have the opportunity to work out-of-state storms. Zielies provides required PPE and tools, paid training, and safety and training programs. A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen are required.

Responsibilities
- Cut and/or trim vegetation using industry best management practices.
- Use wedges, sledges, and chainsaws to fell trees or trim trunks and to cut and split logs into manageable pieces.
- Apply herbicide to prevent further growth as indicated on maps.
- Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris, and/or feed brush into a woodchipper.
- Use best management practices to safeguard employees and the public from jobsite hazards in and around the work area.
- Inspect tools, trucks, and other work equipment; request repairs or replacement equipment when necessary.
- Maintain good housekeeping on the truck and at work locations.
- Work safely every day.
- Perform other related work as assigned by superiors.
