About The Position
Chop Tree Service is seeking an experienced Tree Trimmer Foreman to lead crews in performing vegetation construction and right-of-way tree operations. This position is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality work for our utility and municipal partners.
Requirements
- Previous experience in utility line clearance and vegetation management
- Prior foreman or crew leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of safe tree climbing, rigging, and equipment operation
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain)
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and professional work standards
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise tree trimming and removal crews
- Ensure compliance with ANSI standards, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies
- Conduct job site hazard assessments and daily tailboard safety meetings
- Operate and oversee the use of bucket trucks, chippers, chainsaws, and related equipment
- Maintain productivity, quality standards, and project timelines
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and the public
- Train and mentor crew members
