About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Tree Trimmer to join our team of professionals dedicated to providing high-quality tree care services. As a Tree Trimmer, you will be responsible for maintaining the health, appearance, and safety of trees in various environments. This role requires a strong understanding of tree biology and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in tree trimming, pruning, and removals.
  • Strong knowledge of tree biology, including tree identification and growth patterns.
  • Ability to operate bucket trucks and rigging equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Familiarity with lawn care and garden maintenance practices.
  • Experience with GIS technology and mapping software.
  • Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship or vocational training in arboriculture or a related field is an asset.
  • A valid driver's license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize bucket trucks and rigging equipment to safely access and trim trees.
  • Operate bucket trucks and other specialized equipment to perform tree trimming and pruning.
  • Perform tree care services including pruning, shaping, and removals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective tree care operations.
  • Utilize GIS technology to map and analyze tree data.
  • Provide lawn care and garden maintenance services to residential and commercial clients.
  • Conduct regular inspections of trees and recommend necessary treatments or maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and best practices in tree care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of tree biology and growth patterns.
