Tree Care Groundsman
About The Position
The Tree Care Groundsman is responsible for hauling and chipping brush, using a chainsaw safely, cleaning and organizing work areas, inspecting, and helping other crew members with tasks and continually learning new things. The grounds team performs manual labor to assist in the maintenance, storage, and fulfillment of customer orders at the garden nursery. Transport and mix topsoil, fertilizers, peat moss, and other soil conditioners, using hand tools. Dig, rake, and screen soil and fill flats and boxes for planting.
Requirements
- General laborer with experience with power tools, hand tools, and other equipment preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions year-round
- Willingness to complete all required safety training and certifications
- Able to follow specific instructions and safety protocols.
- Must be able to pass drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with power tools, hand tools, and other equipment preferred.
Responsibilities
