About The Position

Joshua Tree Experts, a premier outdoor home service company in Little Rock, AR, is seeking an aggressively proactive General Manager to lead their tree care, plant health care, lawn care, and pest control operations in the greater Little Rock market. This is a pivotal, full-time leadership role where the General Manager acts as the 'CEO' of their territory, with ultimate responsibility for the location's profitability. The role requires a 'hunter' mentality to build the market, drive revenue from the front lines, and build a high-performing operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for revenue generation, sales leadership, financial and P&L management, operations and logistics, business development, market expansion, and talent management.

Requirements

  • The 'Hunter' Mindset: Naturally proactive, driven, and self-sufficient with experience in prospecting, networking, and closing deals.
  • Proven Leadership Experience: Demonstrated track record of managing a P&L, achieving aggressive business growth, and leading a blue-collar or service-based workforce.
  • Industry Knowledge: Hands-on experience in the green industry (tree care, lawn care, home services) is highly desired.
  • Business Acumen: Strong financial, operational, and sales knowledge. Ability to analyze data, identify market trends, and pivot strategies.
  • Communication: Elite verbal and written communication skills.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • An ISA Certified Arborist designation is a strong plus.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Take ultimate ownership of top-line revenue and actively grow the budget.
  • Hit the field to prospect high-end neighborhoods, build commercial relationships, and hunt for new accounts if inbound leads slow down or sales team needs support.
  • Develop and execute an aggressive local sales strategy, coach sales team on consultative closing techniques, and assist in closing high-ticket contracts.
  • Have full accountability for the location's P&L, including developing, managing, and executing an annual budget.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and implement daily/weekly strategies to increase revenue and control operational costs.
  • Oversee all day-to-day operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and quality control for Tree Care/Plant Health Care, Lawn Care, and Pest Control services.
  • Ensure all crews deliver the 'Joshua Tree Experience' safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Dedicate a significant portion of the week to proactive business development to ensure the pipeline never runs dry.
  • Actively target high-net-worth neighborhoods, cloverleaf around existing job sites, and knock on doors to introduce the 'Joshua Tree Experience'.
  • Build lucrative B2B referral networks by identifying and cultivating relationships with HOA presidents, country club facility managers, high-end landscape architects, and property management firms.
  • Fill schedule gaps or assist struggling sales team members by hitting the pavement and hunting for new business.
  • Act as the gatekeeper for company culture, lead the local hiring process to build a high-performing team.
  • Provide continuous coaching, mentorship, and professional development to all employees to promote engagement and high retention.
