Joshua Tree Experts, Cranberry Twp.'s premier tree care, lawn care, and pest control professionals, is actively searching for an experienced Tree Care Crew Leader to head up our local production team. The Role: As a Crew Leader with Joshua Tree Experts, you will direct and work alongside a tight-knit, 2 to 4-person crew. You will oversee and execute complex tree removals, precision pruning, and general tree preservation techniques. You are the captain of the operation-responsible for ensuring safe job site execution, mentoring your team, managing equipment logistics, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients on the property.

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of proven tree care experience, including extensive climbing and rigging expertise.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience running a tree crew.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

  • ISA Certified Arborist designation or CTSP (Certified Treecare Safety Professional).
  • A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • A Forestry or Horticulture Degree.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute safe tree care operations from start to finish, ensuring strict adherence to ANSI standards.
  • Direct daily workflows and delegate tasks to Climbers and Ground Operations Specialists safely and efficiently.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate your crew to maintain high performance, technical skill development, and morale.
  • Safely operate aerial lifts, drive company vehicles, and oversee the daily maintenance of all assigned trucks, chippers, gear, and climbing equipment.
  • Act as the face of the company on-site: provide excellent customer service, represent the JTE brand, and ensure your crew maintains a professional image.
  • Champion our safety-first culture every single day, conducting regular safety briefings and hazard assessments.
  • Be available to work a reliable, full-time schedule of at least 40 hours per week.
